About Appin
Appin was settled in the 1820s by Scottish immigrants from the Appin region of Argyll. The Southwest Middlesex village in former Ekfrid Township grew up as a farming-service centre and remains a quiet rural community on Highway 2 between London and Wardsville. The Appin Public School heritage building and the surrounding farmland define the village's character.
